Scentwork class

£84.00

Learn a new skill with your dog! Open to any breed – all your dog needs is a nose!

Teaching scentwork to your dog is the perfect way to increase your bond with them, and use their brains in the way nature intended. All scentwork is calming for dogs as it provides them with much-needed mental stimulation.

This six-week course will start with the basics and then build on those foundations getting your hound to sniff out catnip, gun oil and other smells in a controlled way in increasingly complex searches.

Having a hobby with your dog has a positive fallout in all areas of their behaviour as they learn to channel their energy and understand your cues.

Classes will be small so you get lots of instruction with just six dogs in each class and two instructors (illness/holidays permitting!)

Each session is 50 minutes long. Classes are held indoors at Woodlands Farm in Sewardstone in a large riding school arena. This means we can go ahead whatever the weather or light conditions.

Six-week course.

Location: Woodlands Farm, Sewardstone, E4 7RE.

Date and time: Tuesdays at 6pm

Session dates

Tuesday September 17, 24, October 1, 8, 15, 22.

Please note: If your dog is reactive please contact Taking the Lead as classes may not be suitable at the present time but we should be able to help in other ways.
